Jen has completed a Diploma in Fitness and Health Promotion from Niagara College. She also recently graduated from Brock University with a Bachelor’s Degree in kinesiology, where she spent a year with the women’s basketball team as a strength coach intern. In 2020, Jen completed another strength and conditioning internship here at Iron Performance Center. She is a CSEP Certified Personal Trainer and a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS). Her favourite part about coaching is seeing people gain confidence as they increase their strength and learn new skills!
Growing up, Jen played a variety of sports including volleyball, basketball, track and field, and soccer, and continues to play some sports recreationally. Over the years Jen has competed in several CrossFit team competitions, and has also competed in multiple weightlifting competitions.
She enjoys all aspects of fitness, but has a passion for strength and power training. She especially loves Olympic Weightlifting because of it's combination of strength, power, and technique. Jen believes that strength is for everyone and that all exercises can be adapted to fit the needs and abilities of each individual, whether they’re an athlete or not!
