Myles Methner

Head Strength Coach

Myles is the Head Strength Coach at Iron Performance Center. He believes strongly in the value of hard work and discipline. Myles has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Kinesiology from Wilfrid Laurier University. Additionally, he holds his CSCS, CPPS, AASc, and Pn-1 certifications. He has been featured in Epoch Life with his article Why Everyone Should Train Like An Athlete.

Myles believes in using a variety of tools and methods throughout the training process in order to help maximize his clients’ potential. These include diving into dynamic, maximal and repeat effort styles of training across multiple disciplines, including Olympic lifting, powerlifting and bodybuilding. He believes that using these techniques in a well-rounded approach will allow his clients to feel, move, and perform optimally.

Myles is responsible for preparing numerous hockey and baseball athletes for NCAA opportunities. He also trains local football players for their CFL seasons and upcoming prospects for the draft.

Myles believes that what clients do outside the weight room is just as important as what they do inside the weight room.  He hopes to continue building leaders and making positive changes in his clients’ lives. When Myles isn’t creating programs or lifting weights, he can be found coaching football, spending quality time with friends and family, or travelling.
